Social Art Innovators  As social art innovators, we form a bridge between the arts and the social care sector. Four notable highlights of this work include: - Supported by Dialogue Youth we worked with a young women's group at the YWCA in Coupar Angus. The participants gained technical skills to unravel their own language of creativity through photographic techniques, creative writing, music making, basic filmmaking and acting. It also gave them a sense of identity and there was a strong commitment to the project and culminated in a DVD containing five short video pieces. This was premiered at a sharing event: the Girls Grove DVD has since been viewed all over Perthshire and was featured by BBC Scotland as part of their Blast programme… (2005)
- On the behalf of Dundee Women’s Aid we made a film that explored the lives and voices of a group of women who had found shelter from abusive relationships. We ran a summer arts project for their children, and published a book of very moving poems entitled The Journey (2006/07)
- Working with Tayside Domestic Abuse & Drug Misuse Project we used forum theatre to produce an event aimed at awareness raising and information sharing by the domestic abuse and substance misuse sectors. We also produced a training DVD with full instructions of how to use it to run a tabletop networking event. (2007/08)
- These Are Our Bairns: working with the Scottish Government and COSLA we conducted a national consultation to find hidden voices within the care system; we choreographed the official launch of the guidance document; and we conducted a unique engagement process to ensure young people were fully involved in an event with elected members (2008/09)
